Description
- "Alignment" is from the Spring Series, a series associated with that time of year when we feel the need to clean and air things out from a long restrictive winter. However, the Spring Series deals with personal cleaning... elimination of things we find personally restrictive. It may be an attitude we have adopted, anger, resentment, negativism, or even an accumulation of several things aquired over a considerable period, and now wish to relinquish. It could be samskara, an accumulaton of years of aquiring hindering restrictive attitudes, or feelings, none of which we may even be aware, but in Yogic and Hindu philosophy, can be lifted through meditation. It may just be a time for simple introspection, a time to analyze who we are and where we're going. Whatever the approach, "Alignment" symbolizes a time to improve our own well being as a human; to align ourselves and find balance once again.
This painting also translates well in the vertical position.
