Founded in 1999, Art Musings was one of the first galleries to open shop in South Mumbai's Colaba neighbourhood. Colaba and the close at hand precinct of Kala Ghoda have since evolved into the city's vibrant art district.
The gallery has been extremely responsive to the emergent vocabularies shaping contemporary India art and has played a key role in nurturing a spectrum of artistic practices. Over the years Art Musings have offset exhibitions by renowned Indian modernists such as FN Souza, SH Raza, Ram Kumar, Akbar Padamsee, KG Subramanyan and Jogen Chowdhury with shows by contemporary artist such as Nalini Malani, Baiju Parthan, Reena Saini Kallat, Smriti Dixit, Jayshree Chakravarty, Chittrovanu Mazumdar and Shibu Natesan. It is our endeavour to take the works of these artists, and others, to a collector base spread that is spread across Asia, Europe and North America.
