> DESCRIPTION

An installation depicting the traditional Indian Festival of lights “DEEPMALA”, with 101 designer and assorted Deeps or Indian traditional lamps [Gold pigmented]. The Deeps are mounted on a laminated showcase of size 4’ x 5’ x 6”. A ¾ life size gracious lady is sitting in front with her young son in her laps, thus celebrating the festival of Indian Festival of Lights in the traditional way. Conceived in 2004. Collected the deeps from various parts of the Indian subcontinent from 2004 to 2007. Finally assembles and mounted in 2007 and exhibited the installation India in 2008. It carries his dated signature. Artist: PAUL CHD.
