GALLERYSKE invites you to the opening of Recent Works by Prabhavathi Meppayil on Saturday, 14th December, 2013 at 7 pm. The works will remain on view until 8th February, 2014.
Prabhavathi Meppayil’s work was featured in The Encyclopedic Palace curated by Massimiliano Gioni at the 55th International Art Exhibition of the Venice Biennial, Venice (2013). Meppayil has previously shown in group exhibitions that include a two person show everything/nothing, GALLERYSKE, Bangalore (2012), Phantoms of Asia: Contemporary Awakens the Past, curated by Mami Kataoka and Allison Harding at The Asian Art Museum, San Francisco (2012), Shadow Lines-Biennale Jogja XI 2011-Equator #1:Indonesia meets India, Jogja (2011-12), Orientations: Trajectories in Indian Art, curated by Deepak Ananth, Foundation De 11 Lijnen, Oudenburg (2010), Chalo! India-A New Era of Indian Art, presented at Essl Museum, Vienna (2009), National Museum of Contemporary Art, Seoul (2009) and Mori Art Museum curated by Akiko Miki Tokyo (2008). Meppayil lives and works in Bangalore, India.
