Yuan Chu Chen 探讨中国当代艺术的历史渊源 油画作为外来画种引进中国始于清代,盛于五四以后的新文化运动,其材料、技法及造型观念当然也来自西方,但是在本世纪上半叶油画观念进入中国的时候,正是西方现代主义方兴未艾之时,从欧洲留学回来的中国美术学子一方面带回了欧洲学院派的传统油画技法,另一方面也接受了大量欧洲现代主义绘画的风格,结合中国的绘画传统和现实的需要,形成了中国早期油画的独特风格,产生了徐悲鸿、刘海粟、吴作人等一批杰出的油画家。 建国以后,中国的油画发生了重要的变化,在50年代的国际政治环境下,尤其在中国政治现实的背景下,前苏联的美术学院制度和俄罗斯画派的传统风格对中国油画的发展发生了重要影响。50年代中期由前苏联专家马克西莫夫在中央美术学院开办的油画训练班使中国学生比较系统地接受了欧洲古典油画技法的训练,虽然俄罗斯画派并非欧洲古典主义传统的正宗,同时苏联的油画风格也主要是为政治服务的社会主义现实主义风格。中国新一代油画家也正是在这种环境中成长起来的,靳尚谊、詹建俊、全山石等著名油画家都曾在马训班学习。苏联专家的指导一方面为中国油画的发展奠定了一个新的基础,另一方面也为中国油画建立一套现实主义的造型制度。但在当时的条件下,现实主义艺术并没有得到健康地发展,除了少数作品外,油画也和其他艺术门类一样,成为政治宣传的工具,在文革时期,极左盛行,油画也只准许以“大,高,全,红,光 亮”的风格来为政治服务,离真正的现实主义风格也越来越远。随着国门打开,国外风格的多样化艺术蜂拥而入,罗中立的油画《父亲》吸收了60年代在欧美流行的照相写实主义的手法,通过“父亲”的特写形象,表现中国农民的勤劳与艰辛;陈丹青的 《西藏组画》一改苏联模式的现实主义风格,从19世纪法国现实主义画家米勒的油画技法中探索新的表现手法;何多苓的《春风已经苏醒》则是从美国当代现实主义画家怀斯的艺术中得到启发。他们大多以中国农村或少数民族生活为题材,在80年代初形成了乡土现实主义的绘画思潮。乡... 中国当代艺术的坎坷 陈源初 中国艺术界在经济的改革开放环境下所获得的最大的成就,就是冲破了官方长期抱住不放的现实主义,借鉴于西方的现当代艺术成果,试验和创造了中国初具规模的当代艺术。官方坚强地坚持现实主义主要原因是政治的因素,西方大都数国家对新中国的成立之初持反对态度,苏联想把中国纳入苏维埃大家庭系统内,当然支持新中国。当时苏联是中国的楷模,是与中国有着兄弟般牢不可破的友谊。不久中国就发现苏联老大哥的无私援助并不是无私的,牢不可破的友谊不久就因各自的利益破了,中国与苏联很快就分道扬镳。中国对于共产国际的美好憧憬破灭,不过艺术上却仍然固执地坚持现实主义。官方的这种顽强坚持的原因,是因为领导者政治斗争太忙对艺术的无暇顾及和中国对西方的封锁,以前在并不深入了解苏联的情况并且与西方比较作深入的调查研究下以为苏联一切都是好的,同时在对西方并无了解的情况下却断言一切都是坏的。矛盾的是,马克思主义,社会主义和共产主义概念也是西方来的。不得不佩服苏联和中国共产党的伟大之处在于,共产主义这种在全世界并无历史实践,也没有经过任何局部试验而成功过的一个哲学家的纸上理想,被英明地认定是放之四海而皆准的真理,立即全面不顾及人民和国家所冒的任何风险推广到整个东欧和中国,强行执行并波及亚洲。 通过几十年的艰辛奋斗,每一个伟大的中苏东欧共产党,顽强领导勤劳的人民经过无数的努力,其结果是灾难深重,国民经济远远落后于万恶的日薄西山的资本主义的国家和地区,最明显的对比是东西德和南北韩。由于经济的崩溃,人民生活的疾苦,和思想封闭使得人民产生巨大的不满,如再继续在崎岖的小道上不畏劳苦攀登的话必将导致政权动摇。最后苏联在政治经济瘫痪下解体,东欧国家政治经济全面放弃社会主义和共产主义的美妙理想而倒向资本主义。然而,中... 起始的中国当代艺术 陈源初 在民间,最早出现的是对正统现实主义反叛的思潮。这种思潮有两种倾向。一个倾向是,以1979年2月的《上海十二人画展》、《北京新春画展》、北京《无名画会展》、《同代人画展》、《云南申社画展》等展览为代表,把西方早期现代主义的印象派、野兽派、立体派、表现派等作为借鉴对象,以逆反一成不变的现实主义的模式,艺术家大多为当时年轻的一代。另一个倾向是反映出解放以来被压制而转入地下的现代艺术思潮,这股潮流时隐时现地一直存在。主要成员大多是40年代的早期现代艺术家们,如庞薰琴,吴冠中等老一辈艺术家们,以及《新春画展》的参加者们。和当时的中青年画家如《上海十二人画展》的成员陈钧德、陈巨源、陈巨洪、郭润林、沈天万、罗步臻、孔柏基、黄阿忠、王健尔、钱培森、徐思基、韩柏友等。有些艺术家如赵文量,杨雨树,冯国东等不满意艺术界固定的主流创作模式而自我另行创作和展览,如“无名画会”等。还有些艺术家从民间借鉴民俗艺术和乡土装饰风格,就像西方早期的现代艺术也曾经从民间艺术中获取营养的,代表人物如袁运生、萧惠祥等。 资深艺术评论家栗宪庭在1980年提出了《现实主义不是唯一正确的途径》,在1983年发表了《中国古典绘画中的抽象审美意识》,“星星画会”成员曲磊磊提出“艺术本质是自我表现”等观点,希望艺术界对当时的现实主义的突破。但是这些倾向都受到了官方主流现实主义势力的压制,同时也引起了非主流艺术界的强力反压制。1979年7月7日29日,北京无名画会的作品展览在北海画舫斋开幕,引起观众和美术界的强烈反响,平均每天参观的人数达2700多人次。展览22天,总计有近6万人次到现场参观。此外,当年陆续展出的还有四月影会、星星美展等。中国艺术界当时步入人心激动的年代。很多‘无名画会’‘星星画会&rsquo...
