  LaQuincey was born in Lawton, Oklahoma to military family and traveled around the states until his family returned to Lawton where his father retired from the military. He went to and graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2005 with a BFA.  After graduating he went to work assisting Paul Moore on the Oklahoma City Land Run Monument. I have just been informed that I have been accepted as an associate artist with the Bake House Arts Complex (BAC) in Miami. I applied in November and thought that I was not accepted because I never heard from them. There was a goof up of some sort and nobody informed me.
