> STATEMENT
I WANT TO PAINT AND I SEE PAINTING POSSIBILITIES EVERYWHERE I GO!
Working as an artist/instructor allows me to do just that. I love painting landscapes, big sky, open fields, distant mountains, river scenes and lush green hills.
I paint mostly in watercolor, pastels & occasionally in oils and I paint almost everyday. I paint En Plein Air as often as I can. I am also a graphic artist doing whimsical dragon figures as a specialty. In addition, I teach watercolor painting, drawing & sketching and art journaling in my "Blair Studio/Gallery" classroom.
I must become one with nature. Living in Southern Oregon allows me ample opportunity to view beauty close up and personal! I invite art students and fellow artists to accompany me on many of my plein air excursions and occasionally teach a plein air workshop.

Southern Oregon is a garden of unique and diverse creative and cultural talent. From distinguished fine artists to outsiders, our area is home to award winners and promising new talent in a vast range of disciplines and host to a spectacular array of yearly theater, music, food and wine festivals. As our continuing trend of excellence and achievement grows, so do our collaborations; increasingly multi-faceted, many events frame the primary work on display with a well-rounded presentation including music, wine tasting from local artisan wineries and gourmet catering using locally grown and made cheeses, chocolates and organic foods, all produced by true artists in their own fields. It is our goal to provide a comprehensive directory that will be a convenient hub for the promotion of local and regional artists, a collaboration reference for galleries, venues and event planners and a travel planning resource for visitors coming to enjoy the rich palette of our arts & culture. Further, it is our hope that this resource will both unify the broad spectrum of our arts community and convey a compelling sense of the vibrant arts scene in Southern Oregon which encourages visitors to sample our nationally and internationally acclaimed artistic and cultural offerings.
