Andrea Alessi

Andrea Alessi lives and works in the Netherlands. Her background is in art and culture, specificially investigating the art exhibition as a site of cultural mediation. She studied Fine Arts and Anthropology at the University of Pennsylvania, and combined these interests with a master's in Visual Anthropology at Oxford University. She is currently perfecting the art of talking to herself in Dutch while riding a bicycle.

Andrea joined ArtSlant in 2009 as the City Editor for ArtSlant Amsterdam. In 2012, Andrea became ArtSlant's European Editor with responsibilities for the Amsterdam, Berlin and Brussels editions.
