David JP Hooker's artistic practice explores his fascination with objects, places, history and community through ritual actions, looking for ways in which ritual can have a positive influence in our understanding of our environments and ourselves. He creates work in a variety of media, including performance art/video, sculpture, collage, and ceramics. David’s work is widely exhibited nationally and internationally, including recent exhibitions in Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago and Kecskemét, Hungary. David lives and works near Chicago, Illinois, USA, where he is an artist and Associate Professor of art at Wheaton College.
