Placeholder70x70-2 Thank you
Thank you, Phillip for taking the time to look at and think about my work. Your work is quite thought provoking. I particularly like "The End" it is not narrative but allows for the pursuit of narrative ideas which I think is the point of fine art photography.

your work is dangerous and delishious

20130401061226-2012-05-24_09 poem
I worked in black and white for a long time because I felt it was the beginning of defining dynamics. In an art show, I included a poem that I wrote about 'black and white'. I will look for that full poem, excerpt: "... born of diametrics and their subtleties"

20130401061226-2012-05-24_09 Hi Philip
Thank you for your thoughtful response to my work. I enjoyed doing the black and white drawings in the 70's. I had decided to focus only on black and white drawings for about 7 years: in the distance of one shape or shadow and one line to another was the discipline. Expressing the mysterious was part of it too. There are many drawing from that time. When I saw your "Saturn", it was a poignant moment for me to see such an evocative image. From my perspective. the image expresses an overlap of time and space and identity in our lives. I wish you the best and I hope that we get to see your work in showcase and juried winners. It is profound. Ann

20130401061226-2012-05-24_09 "Saturn"
Hi philip, I know that in astrology Saturn is the planet of limitations, (part of the meaning, anway) All of your work is compelling. "Saturn" reminds me of something I would thnk about when I was a young girl. I used to look at people and see the child that was there and the path of their aging. Both, of course, exist in the moment in time. And when I see an older person , I remember that at one time in thier life their brow was kissed by a loving mother or nurse. And when I see a baby I sometimes see the observant adult that will emerge The actual energy behind your "Saturn"is likely different from the thoughts that I share. Still, it reminds me of the thoughts I have had and your work is an extraordinary expression of realities of our lives. Ann

It is always my pleasure to interact with my fellow artists. For the Jan competition, I have entered my artwork “Eat, Pray, Love”. The book by Elizabeth Gilbert is the talk of the town here and so I thought that this would be an appropriate painting reflecting the overall mood of people all over!. So enjoy life! I once again heartily welcome you to visit my artsite. You are a fine artist and I value your opinion Wishing you a New Year filled with good health, new hope and new beginnings! success, happiness and prosperity! Cheers! Seshadri
