Cat Del Buono

As a photographer, filmmaker, and video artist in New York, I explore social and identity issues, aim to preserve moments in time, and focus on displaying my images in alternate ways. My recent works use interactive video, performance, humor, and multiple video screens to comment on how our society is obsessed with physical perfection and to trigger thoughts on why we conform to this. Through my works and interaction with viewers, I hope to expose the absurdity of certain things we accept - especially plastic surgery - while creating a dialogue about who decides what beauty is.
