Nico van der Merwe (SoulMyst) - South Africa

------------------

I am looking for international gallery representation
Nico@SoulMyst.com

black and white may bring out the emotion and show an object or persons soul but sepia adds another dimension of nostalgia....

Sepia; nostalgia is the key to make you appreciate the past and to make your future look a little less black and white... - Nico 2010

These photos were never released or shown until now and uploaded to my fan page on facebook www.facebook.com/afrikaans first.

Sincerely hope you enjoy these as I spent an enormous amount of time on these and eventually burned out artistically to make them just perfect in 2009 - new year and a new eagerness to finish more and finally take my photography in a direction I think suits my character best and not just pursue popularity with the most vivid of hdr photos found everywhere these days. It's simple and it's beautiful...the way it should be :)

They will be framed and double matted much the same way as the photo (color might of course change as this is just an online example) and only sold framed. Once you see them in real life it literally looks as if you at the scene alongside me and it gives a stunning 3d depth to the photo that even amazed myself when I got it from Peter that clearly uses all is 30 years of framing experience to do it perfectly.

*************************

As of 15 April 2010 I am officially releasing my new collection of Sepia investment fine art photography along with a change in pricing structure - the price simply increases by a fixed margin as the edition number gets higher and the remaining prints of a particular photo become less...it also favors the first few buyers considerably more than others buying a higher numbered print...

Artist validated / authenticated and signed with title (for interest sake, most photos will have the place & province in South Africa where it was shot written underneath on the border) and year of release along with limited edition number out of a maximum of only 35 prints per individual photo regardless of size.

Price may vary from print to print and also subject to change slightly according to increases in framing, printing and fine art paper costs etc. each year...

--------------------------------------
Print Number 1;
Fine art print: $100 (R746.838*)
Framed & double matted with glass: add an extra $70 (R520*)

Print Number 2 - 5;
Fine art print: $300 (R2,212.85*)
Framed & double matted with glass: add an extra $70 (R520*)

Print Number 6 - 15;

Framed & double matted with glass: add an extra $70 (R520*)

Print Number 16 - 30;
Fine art print: $700 (R5,160.13*)
Framed & double matted with glass: add an extra $70 (R520*)

Print Number 31 - 34;
Fine art print: $1,100 (R8,110.62*)
Framed & double matted with glass: add an extra $70 (R520*)

Print Number 35 (Last in the Edition);
Fine art print: unspecified as of yet...

Print Size 24.96cm x 37.27cm (dimensions inclusive of a small white border) contact me at nico@soulmyst.com for larger print size inquiries.

Prices exclude any shipping costs. Prints alone are shipped via a sturdy thick tube and the print itself will be wrapped in plastic and paper inside. 7 - 14 days standard air post delivery (Excluding any act of God and delays caused by weather conditions as per the recent volcanic eruptions in Iceland grounding flights.) -

Shipping charges of a print in a tube are considerably lower than when it might be framed. Any and all professional framers around the world would flatten and know how to best frame the photo - Framing is an art in itself and it's a wonderful experience to see the photo 'completed' with the final art step of framing and seeing it hanging on your wall giving you a dimensional depth window to experience the photo as if you were there right next to myself when I took it.

*Rand prices calculated at the exchange rate of April 15th - 2010:
1 USD = 7.37181 ZAR

--------------------------------------

The print as per preference and only on special request can be converted to true monotone black and white. Add 5% to the print price only as specified above.

Paypal.com payments are now finally a reality in South Africa and can be used.
