Juan Muñoz studied at the Central School of Art and Design, London; Croydon College of Design and Technology, London, and Pratt Graphic Center, New York. He participated in the Venice Biennale (1986, 1993, and 1997) and has also been shown in Documenta IX (1992) and XI (2002). He has had major exhibitions at the Hirshhorn Museum, Washington, D.C. (2001); the Tate Modern (2001) and Dia Center for the Arts, New York (1999).
