Guy Kinnear

The artwork is exploring contemporary experience in the light of history, in the paradoxical space between the transcendent and the mundane. The works begin in conversations with members of Kinnear's local community. These lead to an event where the model is able to embody their most influential stories. The elements of portraiture and storytelling are then woven with classical media techniques to produce a personal, contemporary re-imaging of age-old narratives.
