Artist Statement: I make sculpture from the stone quarry of
human subsistence and build a sacred space where I am telling
the one and only story of human being - Joseph Campbell called
it MONOMYTH - in letters of figurative sculpture.

It is presented in a purposely designed dark magenta colored
„chapel", with four rooms: the MONOMYTH BLOCK. There my
sculpture is theatrically set in scene by light, noise and smell.

I have the heart of a poet. I transform pain into blitheness and
scarcity into wealth by the alchemistic power of sculpture.

My figurative sculptures are in traditional material and craft
(marble, plaster, bronze, precious metal, fine wood etc.) and
interpret ancient themes of mankind in a personal viewpoint of

Biography: Tilmann Krumrey is a sculptor from Germany. He
has studied history of arts and economics. He worked for 8
years in finance / venture capital and for 27 years in sculpture.
Born 1966 in Frankfurt / Main. Early steps with Doris von
Sengbusch-Eckardt, sculptor and at the studio of Albert
Fessler, painter.
1988-1990 Ludwig-Maximilians-University, Munich. History of
Art, Philosophy, Economics. 1990-1995 Ludwig-Maximilians-
University, Munich. Economics and Business Administration,
final exam with Master (Diplom).
Tilmann Krumrey has completed his education as sculptor
with his father Immo Krumrey (Interior Design and Industrial
Design, hfg ulm, master student of Max Bill) and his mentor
Prof. Hartwig Ullrich (sculptor, silver smith, FH Hildesheim).
Since 1996 self-employed with studio at Schloss Pillham
/Rottal. Member of Sculpture Network and BBK.
Creation and manufacturing of furniture, silver smith works
(chalice, cup, cutlery) and jewellery. Interior-design of Gallery
Gordian Weber, Cologne. Library and exhibition furniture with
hand crafted and gold plated palmetto frieze, marble fireplace,
coloration of walls, design of entrance. Presentation of the
gallery in Architectural Digest, edition of April/May 2002 p. 87-
89. Various animal sculptures ("Bear" for Count Esterhazy),
