I am a self-taught artist and woodworker.  There have been a few individual classes that I have attended over the years, but mostly, when I want to learn about something I grab a book and read.  Then I get my hands dirty and make lots of mistakes and missteps through a long drawn out trial and error process.  Usually when I am finally frustrated with myself and the process I have some minor breakthrough that keeps me coming back for more learning and more creating.  It's quite a bit like life,isn't it?  This is the path to mastery and it is all in the doing, not in the talking.  So that's it.
