Joe Flazh! is a fine art photographer, writer and art impresario. His fine art photos have been objects of wide critical praise and have appeared in numerous publications such as Artweek, Photographers Forum, New Art International two years in a row (2001 & 2002) and The Tom Of Finland Foundations Art Catalog.
He lived and worked in Long Beach, CA for over 25 years and in 1995 was chosen as a winner honored at the 70th Anniversary Exhibit of The Long Beach Arts Association. In 1999 Flazh! Produced the smash hit erotic exhibition sexRAWtica! at The Hellada Gallery in Long Beach's East Village Arts District. Over 1000 attended sexRAWtica!'s opening and closing shows.
Flazh! Has been exhibited at such venues as the Leslie-Lohman Gay Art Foundation in New York, The San Diego Art Institute and The Michael-Levy Gallery in Long Beach, CA, The Beau Damon Richards Gallery, Studio 343, Angels Gate Cultural Center and Sacred Grounds Coffeehouse all in San Pedro, CA.
In 2000 Flazh! started promoting emerging artists in California through his work as vice-president of Long Beach's new Second City Council Art Gallery, a nonprofit arts foundation. From 2000-2002 Flazh! produced a series of highly successful art events, including an erotic art gallery, at the Coffee Haven Coffeehouse & Art Gallery in Long Beach, CA.
Flazh! is also the Art Editor for the premier, GLBT online site, metroG.com, contributing writer for various magazines including, The OC&LB BLADE, San Pedro Magazine and "IN" Los Angeles Magazine and serves as "Art Correspondent " for two Long Beach cable TV shows, The Gay & Lesbian Newsmagazine and The Sonny Bozeman Show.
Flazh! Moved to San Pedro, CA in 2003 where he has established his own venue, Flazh!Alley Studio, where he intends to keep promoting emerging artists.
