Mara Zaslove

The bulk of my portfolio revolves around my exploration of people, cultures and environments.

Travelling affords me the opportunity to record the primal beauty of the human spirit surrounded by

its natural environment.  My work often relies on natural light and captures what I feel in my heart

and see through my eye.  Without manipulating my images, I reveal all dimensions of life, which

often reflect an array of patterns and textures.  At times,  I engage my subjects but also utilize my

telephoto lens to capture candid shots that embrace a sense of humor and humantiy.  My projects

actively rotate between urban and natural settings. Each photograph is like a gift to myself.
