I work with man made/manufactured items that are no longer in use, items which retain cultural significance despite having been removed from everyday life. Whether they be objects confiscated from airport security check points or discarded cell phone chargers they are symptomatic of our cultural wasteland, of the excesses and debris generation that drive our consumer culture.

Yet, in my eyes these often nondescript and aesthetically unappealing objects assume a haunting beauty when heaped together or otherwise placed into juxtaposition with one another. However ugly they may be individually, these mass produced pieces take on a intriguing organic quality when placed together.
