FELICITY HOGAN lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. Originally trained as a painter in the United Kingdom, she came to America and has been involved in running alternative spaces for over ten years. She founded Flat (2000 – 2003) located in a Manhattan apartment that became known for its diverse, multi-cultural and experimental program garnering national and regional press and generating followers of museum directors, curators and artists. With her recent experience in the commercial sector, working freelance for private dealers and galleries at art fairs in New York, Madrid, Miami and London, she is utilizing these broad-ranging skills as Outreach Director at the Lower East Side Printshop, New York.
Currently working independently as a curator, recent projects include Guest Curator at Dumbo Art Under the Bridge Festival, 2006 with performances by Mary Coble and Chad Stayrook with installation and video by Jose Ruiz. For this year’s festival, Rashaad Newsome presented “Shade Compositions,” along with Duron Jackson’s performance and installation “5 Men.”
