Statement

Shane Mecklenburger's conceptual projects examine post-industrial culture, investigating how we construct & conflate entertainment, art, war, masculinity, childhood & the marketplace. His hybrid practice often emerges from modeling, gaming & information technologies, their common uses & origins. He is currently Assistant Professor of New Media at the University of North Texas Department of Studio Arts.
