I am inspired by transformations and transitions that occur within nature, people and music. My wish is that my work conveys a feeling which travels beyond sentiment and graphic emotional impact, and sustains a subtle dialogue with the viewer.
With my current series, "Hydrology: visions in ice", I am trying to express the ephemeral mystery that occurs when water transforms into ice. These works offer an alternative macro view of the transformation of water into a solid in a natural setting. These images that appear as sentient beings are surprisingly dynamic, organically expressive and unique, and pose more questions than are revealed beyond an aesthetic perspective in our relationship with the most basic element that sustains us all.
