Background
I work mainly on paper, both figurative and non. Lately I've been using watercolor a lot. I was born in the midwest but moved to NY. I attended Parsons School of Design for fashion design and was an apparel designer for major womens' clothing firms in NY. I left the field and returned to my fine art interests. I received my B.F.A. from Arizona State University and my M.F.A. from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena in 1999. I reside in Venice, CA.
I have worked at MOCA in Los Angeles for seven years and teach at a California State University campus in the Los Angeles area. My work has been shown in Arizona, CA, Oregon, Chicago and New York. I have also written poetry and performed at various open-mic venues in Venice and Santa Monica.
