Los Angeles artist Jennifer Cunningham has been hard at work for over 12 years capturing the best of Los Angeles through her charming and vibrant watercolors that she draws on location. Known as “Downtown’s Landmark Artist”, Cunningham’s efforts are indeed helping to fuel the Renaissance of Downtown Los Angeles. Organizations use her paintings as company logos, note cards and marketing tools to enhance their brand and build their business.
Larry Alquist, the General Manager of the "City Club" hired Jennifer to teach "Corks and Canvas". The recently remodeled and newly located private club has her teaching watercolors to it's members. The Fashion Institute of Design commissioned Jennifer for a watercolor image of their iconic main campus building. Toni Hoberg, The President of Fashion Insittute of Design and Merchandising bought the "copyrights" and is looking forward to using it as a major promotional piece. The Omni Hotel contracted Jennifer to exhibit four large prints in their Grand Cafe. Posters and prints of her work are for sale in the gift shop. Angel City Press agreed to publish a coffee table book that will feature all of Cunningham’s Los Angeles Landmarks.
Jennifer also teaches watercolors in her "Paint Landmarks on Location" classes. Students have an opportunity to enjoy a creative experience while painting an iconic landmark. Each class includes all the supplies necessary to paint on location. Students get to learn from a local artist and to bring home a work of art as a treasured memory of Los Angeles.
