Artist Statement

My  artwork is a visual reflection of my on going process of finding myself. Discovering my place in the world during the time and transition from adolescence into young adulthood. My struggle to understand good and evil, right and wrong and the benefits and consequences for the actions or paths for which we choose to take. These fantasy like narratives are all executed differently using different medias and techniques. Most consisting of painting but I have done some work with instillations to even merchandise.The use of symbolism, stylized figures, and the lush exuberant colors as well as the use of intellectual and philosophical approaches influenced by great masters, can be depicted as contemporary meets renaissance. Despite the different techniques used in each piece they all relate to the same theme. It's (my) struggle to find balance and (my) identity through all the manipulation, curiousity, desires and even lack of self control that we face through this transition. What we do, where to go and who we are....
