ARTIST STATEMENT/ BIOGRAPHY
Australian born artist Annalisa Feleppa has been practising contemporary photographic art for the past nine years, acheiving within this period, a large body of work, exclusively expressing visual notions of femininity within the realities of domesticity, nostalgia, and pop culture. Through the uses of symbolism, and representational scenarios, Annalisa Feleppa presents her audience with a strong, and slightly fairytale asthetic.
I Think for me the ideas of femininity were defined more clearly through my own curiosity of what it's origins are and its'existence as an every day experience is. I'm still in the process of researching 'the feminine', documenting my own or others understanding of it in image form to communicate, on some level through symbols, ideas that have been created and are expressed through relationships of varying kinds. My intension is to create imagery that may facilitate a process in the viewer of being aware of the feminine in themselves and their life.

Limited edition photo art prints for sale
All the series showcased in this gallery profile are limited editions of 12 in each series, and are for sale in up to four sizes; 5x7 inch( limited edition of 20 in 5x7" only), 6x9 inch, 8x8 inch, 20x30 inch, 24x24 inch, 1mx1m, 1mx1.5m, approximate size. Images are printed on selected types of photographic, and archival quality ink prints, and surfaces. All prints are signed by Annalisa Feleppa with the edition number, and series title hand written on the back of each print.
