Elaine, a Los Angeles native, received an MFA from California Sate University, Los Angeles in 1999. Immediately afterward, she relocated to extreme rural Nevada, where the sparse landscape’s elusive beauty coalesced her ideas about the human relationship to the environment. During a decade in Nevada, she exhibited at the Nevada Museum of Art in Reno, Oats Park Gallery in Fallon and Barrick Museum in Las Vegas, and the diy art exhibition Nada Dada Motel. Elaine taught for seven years at Great Basin College and twice received the prestigious Fellowship Award from the Nevada Arts Council.
Elaine exhibits regularly in the Los Angeles area. Upcoming exhibitions include Made in California, at the City of Brea Art Gallery, Antebellum's Torture Garden, Artists' Maps at the Angels Gate Cultural Center and her work is joined with a writer in the online literary Yew Journal, April edition.
