The originality of my work consists in transposing the art I create on canvas
to Plexiglas.
I use paintings combined with sophisticated technologies
to develop movements and structures in an infinite space.
I chose Plexiglas as my medium for its profound brightness, transparency
and timeless effects. It allows me to project
the many different worlds deep within me.
With a similar multi-technique I recently create my works on paper,
using a mix of drawings with inks and prints.
Each work is signed, original, unique.
“Swiss-French artist Catherine de Saugy
mixes techniques in a unique way on Plexiglas.
Giving her paintings a new kind of depth, her use of paint
and digital manipulations breaks down the limits of canvas
and infinitely broadens her horizons. Not limited by space
and dimension, de Saugy is able to freely express her creativity,
using juxtaposition of material and technique to draw viewers
into a “light kingdom” that no one else has achieved.”

radiance, resonance, transparency
“We are in the presence of a remarkable work in terms
of modernity and artistic research. If there is an artwork
which takes you into a light kingdom, this is certainly
Catherine de Saugy’s pieces. Everything is resonance
and vibration for a surrealism which restores
her rights to the imagination. It could definitely form,
by its innovative nature, an outstanding contribution
to the story of contemporary art and explain
the increasing interests of collectors.”
