Statement

When asked how long it takes me to paint a painting, my reply is always, all my life. Every brush stroke and drawing that I have ever done has brought me to finish each painting.

After 36 years of selling my art, I have found how fickle I am with what I like to do. Abstract art is now my new direction. It's like painting with no responsibility, letting the color live where it wants to on the canvas. If you do these things, the piece will always speak to the observer'.

I was born in 1950 in Kansas City, Missouri. A mother of native American blood and a father of German heritage, I was an only child to parents who were not suppose to be able to have children. I've known since grade school that art would be the passion of my life. Having wonderful parents that put no restraints on my artistic talent, has given me the ability to paint without boundaries. Being a self taught artist, I have experimented with different techniques to achieve the styles I have painted over the years. My growth as an artist has led me to the enjoyment of abstract art and letting the color itself tell me where it wants to live on the canvas.

My abstracts are fresh, they explode with color and vitality, yet they exhibit a kinship with my Native American heritage. They exist outside mind and place. My expansive paintings evoke a powerful response.

Anyone who says you can't see a thought simply doesn't know art.
