My name is Stefan Fransson,and I am born in the north of Sweden.In a town called Umea.
I have always prefered to work with different media,as sculpture,drawing,digital and painting.My sculptures often have colors.
I work with flatness in the 3d works,and colors as space indicators.

Have done ,a number of artistic commission works for hospitals and schools,in the Stockholm area.

Commission works:
15 mobile sculptures for examination rooms in hospitals.Mainly in the Stockholm area.

Commission for an entrance at the Sodertälje hospital.A painting in 3 parts.

Comminssion work for a staircase at the entrance of Alviks school.A composition of a number of mobile sculptures.

Commission work for a special place at the Danderyd hospital.A big mobile in 3 parts.

I  work as a teacher in figurative drawing and sculpture,at the Swedish school of art.
Have also taken part in some group projects,and worked as a glass designer at the Hadeland glass factory in Norway.It was a project of invited artists from scandinavia.

I am at the moment working on a permanent installation,for the
new Goggle reception room in Stockholm.It is based on a big
print of my work 'Thin Ice'.The installation will be finished by the end of September 2009,and will be a total concept for the reception room,and will become the main artwork for the Swedish Google center.The size of the print is almost 9m2.

The print 'Thin ice' can be seen in my  portfolio,here on ArtSlant.It is also a Showcase winner,for the month of March.The Google installation,is my first commission from a purchaser,outside my own country.

Will show 3 works at SEYHOUN GALLERY,in Hollywood,in Sept-Oct 2009.The works will be :'Winter Turbulence','A Summer sky',and the mobile sculpture 'A Stroke'

On Monday the 12 th of october,2009 ,I will arrange  a course in  the subject of space and room,at the Swedish school of Art (Konstfack),in Stockholm.The course will be an open studio project ,for the students,where they will make experiments, on how to difine space, in different room cituations.The Japanese MA concept, will be one of the  aspects in this project.
