Mark G. Taber was born in 1972 in Rhode Island. He received his B.F.A. at the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence and attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Maine. He creates limited edition light boxes using commercial computer graphics software and printing services. He draws inspiration from American literary sources, films, historic events, and oral histories, which are referenced in the titles of the work. His style is influenced by 5th century classical Greek vase painting and contemporary pop digital graphics. He lives and works in New York City.
