Marina Karapetyan Rehrmann was born in Yerevan-Armenia. Early in life she was exposed to the world of art by her Father (a blues singer, song writer, and guitarist -well known in his era), and her mother, a school teacher.
Marina's real artistic talents began to emerge when her mother migrated to Europe with two very young children after a few years of her husbands passing. Not long after settling in Kassel-Germany, her dream of having a father in her life came true when her mother married again, thus Marina took up her German step father's last name 'Rehrmann'.
Marina, then a young school girl, drew enormous attention to her paintings and other art work from her school's regional peers and critics. Soon after, Marina's work drew attention from an even wider audience nationally.
Her love of painting has been her sole inspiration to continuously learn and explore the world of art. To this day, Marina attends private schools of art to maintain an edge in an ever evolving industry.
After migrating to the U.S. In the 90's, Marina continued her quest for excellence in a fiercely competitive environment. Again, her love of art has lead her to accomplish the creation of many self-defined styles of paintings dubbed by many industry experts as "unique and rare", both in texture and color coordination.
People who know her attribute her success to her mild, genuine and hard working character - befitting of a true artist. Relatives, neighbors, friends, teachers and clients who were contacted for this biography, from the U.S., Europe and all the way back to her place of birth, while enthusiastically describing her, almost all mentioned the following:
One, that they remembered her even after all these years because of her unique abilities in the school and in the neighborhood.
Two, that they knew about her accomplishments through word of mouth and the Internet even half a world away.
Three, that they were absolutely not surprised of Marina's accomplishments, since "she was a natural from the beginning".
And four, that Marina's childhood drawings, original artwork (from her teenage and later life), were among their most cherished possessions.
