My intent is to make visible, art that has movement, meaning, and energy. My work is an exploration of possibilities. I do that by drawing and painting in a variety of media. Once I've completed a work, I often scan or photograph it. With the image digitized, I might ask myself: "What would happen if ...?" For example:

• What would happen if I enlarge the picture, print it, cut it up, and re-organize it?
• What would happen if I repaint it and change the color values?
• What would happen if I transform it into black and white?

And on and on. My partners in these explorations include charcoal, acrylics, pastels, fabric paint, printing media, found objects, etc., along with my computer, scanner, digital camera, and printers. These old and new "technologies" have opened up infinite possibilities for me.
