Through both photographic and narrative fragmentation, artist Meg Madison exposes the difficulty in identifying and differentiating between the factual and the fictional, questioning our definitions of both. Through black and white photos developed in the darkroom-diptychs made up of a documentary photo and a composed tableau, Madison elicits imagined relationships between the two and narratives that viewers can interpret in them.
