Of course I wasn’t travelling all the way from America to Scandinavia for wind farms, organic elderberry juice, or even the first-time thrill of ordering drinks at an honest-to-God Ice Bar.... Erwin Wurm at Bass Museum of Art December 1st, 2011 - March 25th, 2012

Following the artist's instructions, visitors to the exhibition could themselves briefly become sculptures, by taking up often absurd poses frequently involving everyday objects.Wurm has always concentrated on extending the traditional concep... I could take my mom to “Human Rites”, the current show at the Bass Museum.  My mom, not having much of a background or knowledge of contemporary art, still appreciates art and appreciates history.  At "Human Rites", one can look at works from times past, side by side to their newer counterparts, initiating a launching point for discussion about art. “Human Rites” at the Bass Museum is co-curated by Executive Director and Chief Curator, Silvia Karman Cubiñá and Adjunct Curator Steven...
