Sherry DeLorme was born on the Wind River Indian Reservation in Wyoming in 1980. Childhood memories of exploring the open plains and mountainous terrains of Wyoming, Sherry filled her simple world with fairies, mythical creatures and even ghosts from her Native American Heritage. Her love and fascination with animation lead her to San Francisco, Ca where the fairies, creatures and ghosts also followed her to college and helped hone her drawing and animation skills. She graduated with her BFA in Character Animation and AA in Illustration. Sherry has since worked as a Character & Story Artist, Animator, Graphic Designer and Marketing Director.
Sherry has since switched mediums to a more finite approach to her imaginative fairy figures. The daughter of a Wood Craftsman, Sherry uses birch wood to paint her melodramatic and seductive female forms. Her paintings are personal stories that consist of sensual allure, longing and playfulness all set within the context of North American and West Coast scenery, wildlife and folklore.
She has exhibited in numerous galleries across the US including, Los Angeles, Portland, New York, Miami and her second hometown-San Francisco.
Sherry resides in Mountain View, CA and is currently an artist for Disney's Playdom.
