Statement

Frank van der Salm (b. 1964)

Van der Salm studied at the Technical University in Delft and the art academy in Rotterdam (Photography and Audiovisual Design, ’92).

Among others, he has worked with the Netherlands Photo Museum and the architecture practices O.M.A. (Rem Koolhaas) and Herzog & DeMeuron. His photographic work has been published and exhibited all over the world, including at the Venice Biennale (’01), the Netherlands Architecture Institute (’06), Huis Marseille Amsterdam ('06), Maison Européenne de la Photographie Paris (‘06), NAI Rotterdam, NRW Forum Düsseldorf (‘06, ‘07), Stedelijk Museum Delft (‘07), Kröller-Müller Museum (’08) and the Fries Museum (‘08). 2005 saw the appearance of a monograph containing an overview of his work.
