I make big, bold, gestural paintings with color-blocked perimeters and manipulated images that resemble psychedelic paintings. My works indulge in bright, vibrant hues and interconnected forms. Through painting, photography, and sculpture, I investigate the mysterious world of abstraction, while evaluating notions of display by embracing the edge of art’s surface.
I was born in Los Angeles and moved Berkeley in 2009. I currently live and work in the East Bay. In 2013, I received my B.A. in Art Practice from UC Berkeley. In May 2015 I will receive my M.F.A. in Studio Art from Mills College. I have exhibited my artwork in San Francisco at locations such as the de Young Museum, Incline Gallery, and The Lab. I am currently represented by Saatchi Art online gallery and have sold a number of pieces through the site.
My professional experience ranges from various professional roles in art education, museum/gallery administration, and exhibition preparation.
