Born in Trenton, NJ, grew  up in Hamilton Township, NJ.  First went to Rochester Institute of Technology for 2 yrs. and then decided to switch to Fine Arts and attended and graduated Mercer County Comm. College.  Went on to Trenton State, but decided half way to move to Los Angeles in 1990.  Lived in Hollywood for 8 years, with a studio just East of Downtown in the Toy District/Flower District.  Sold at charity auction to Jane Russell.  Privately to Richard Quest of CNN.  Did portrait of Holly Woodlawn, and sold in several galleries in group shows and out of my French Doors that lead out to Hollywood Boulevard.

My ideas on artistic creation are basic.  Paint on just about anything, and bring together the elements that are in my immediate environment to create something that will hopefully speak to someone in the future.  I love color, color arrangement.  I believe in randon happenstance as I believe the entire wonder of our universe and our role in it is a result of many random events organizing through ions of time.

I loved Los Angeles for painting because the natural light was astounding.  I would go to the cliffs, or the mountains, or to LA harbor...or the roof of my studio downtown to paint the landscape around me.  Hollywood was hectic but full of energy.  I painted Runyon Canyon, Angeles National Forest, San Pedro, Pt. Mugu, Laurel Cantion etc. etc.  In the long LA tradition of selling from my 1st floor apartment, I sold many paintings to pay the rent.  There's nothing like seeing first hand the person who has fallen in love with your work.

Came back East in 1998, and continued working.  Loved my friend's gardens in NJ..but the weather here is less cooperative.  I continue to work in Rhode Island now....and have opened a gallery in Wakefield with my partner of 8 years.  We have 5 artists incl. myself, and some giclees and jewelry.  We're looking to show some furniture, glass, ceramics & upcoming artists.  It's the latest project in development.
