“We’ve known intuitively that art can create a healing environment, but now it has been proven scientifically,” said Suzanne Bohrer Ashley, a painter who was hired as the hospital’s art curator last March, after spending 26 years working at the hospital and retiring as its vice president of administration in 2002.
