Allison Moon is the curator of the Advocate & Gochis Galleries, part of the Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Center. She displays the work of local LGBT artists on a 6-week cycle, with opening receptions on the first Thursday of the exhibit.
In addition, Allison writes reviews of art exhibits, theater and local events. Her writing and photography has been published in Not For Tourists, LA Weekly, LA Times, Frontiers Magazine, Nerve.com, Psychopedia.com, and Studies in Perception and Action and she presented her paper, "The Experimental Art of Ego Dissolution" at the Glaukopis Conference in 2008.
Clients include Lucent Dossier Vaudeville Cirque, The Discovery Channel, ESPN2, The Silver Lake Film Festival, The Do Lab, BunnyHop Films, ShowBeat Productions, WestBeth Productions and Edgemar Center for the Arts.
In her free time she is completing her first novel and enjoys playing the musical saw.
