I am a Boricua (actually Nuyorican) visual artist, with a day job as an art educator. In the past two years I have been fortunate enough to exhibit my varied work in Madrid, Spain (photography) Englewood, NJ (recent paintings), in San Antonio, Texas (alternative paintings) and now in Chelsea, NY (illustrations and glass) . I am a figurative painter and illustrator that is in love with glass. Therefore, I love mixed media and all forms of making. I have studied glass in various glass centers around the country; two times on merit scholarship at the Pilchuck Glass School (Seattle), at Urban Glass in Brooklyn, NY, at Bullseye Glass in Portland, Oregon and at the Studio at the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, NY. I also just a simple maker/designer- who wholeheartedly believes in the hand-made D.I.Y. movement. Check out my website for more info: http://amarettogirl.squarespace.com/
