THE ART MARKETER

Taking your Art from the Studio out into the World

Why We Are Here:

I started this business to help artists understand, learn & master the art of selling their work-be that through their own studio & networking events, a gallery, or through the endless opportunities now available to them beyond traditional ways.

I also work with galleries and craft centers, auction houses and antique stores, non-profit organizations and those whose limited income may just make them feel like non-profits, be they authors, musicians, designers or more.

Let me work with you to show you how to continue doing what you love to do. I will teach you how to: take stock of your past experiences and network of resources, ask yourself the tough questions, learn how to make the most of what you have to get the most in what you want and need to succeed. Keep a positive attitude, get organized, make a plan and work it, putting as much thought and energy into marketing your work as you have in creating it, telling your stories, building your brand and finding the right venues to get your brand out there!

The time is now. Let me help you achieve the dream!

About Us

Lisa Freedman grew up on Long Island, New York. She earned a BA degree in Art History at Syracuse University, during which time she interned at the Everson Museum of Art and a local cooperative artists gallery. Lisa also spent a semester in Florence, Italy, studying Italian Renaissance art during her junior year at Syracuse.

Following college, Lisa worked in numerous capacities at Sotheby's and Christie's International Art Auction houses. She then became an Associate Editor at Colonial Homes Magazine, where she wrote feature articles on art, antiques, collectibles, museum houses and historic homes.

In the years since, Lisa owned and operated a children's bookstore, acted as a design consultant at an Interior Design firm and rose the ranks from Community Relations Coordinator to District Marketing Manager at Borders Group, Inc., a publicly held Fortune 500 Company and global retailer.

More recently, Lisa served as a Managing Director for a Contemporary Art Gallery in Greenwich, Ct., a Marketing Director for a Manhattan-based textile designer, and as a PR Director for an Internet Furniture Manufacturer.

Lisa brings her considerable knowledge and experience in art, antiques, interior design, retail management, marketing, events and promotions along with an international network of contacts to each of her clients. She is committed to the success each client entrusts her to bring to their efforts.
