Lyric soprano Rebecca Peterson is a rising new talent based in Seattle, WA. Recent opera roles and performances include Handel's Orlando (Dorinda) and Suor Angelica (Ensemble) with the Opera Siena Music Festival in Siena, Italy; preview performances of Carmen (Micaela) with Seattle Opera Guild; Adriana Lecouvreur (Jouvenot) with Puget Sound Concert Opera; and How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (Smitty) with Twelfth Night Productions. Recent appearances of selected opera scenes include La Bohème (Mimi) for Pacific Lutheran University Summer Opera Workshop; and Susannah (Susannah), Le nozze di Figaro (Countess), and La Bohème (Mimi) in a benefit gala for the historic Vogue Theatre in Cle Elum, WA. She was most recently seen in recital at the Seattle Frye Art Museum performing selections from the operas Louise, La Bohème, and Atalanta. She is a recipient of the Helen Jensen Memorial Award in Voice and PAFE Opera Division winner. Ms. Peterson is a frequent recitalist, performing member of Ladies Musical Club of Seattle, and proud former Tour Actor with Missoula Children's Theater. She is currently studying with American baritone Erich Parce.
