Based in Seattle, WA, lyric soprano Rebecca Peterson is a versatile new artist, equally at home on concert, musical theater, and operatic stages. Recent opera roles and performances include Handel's Orlando (Dorinda) and Suor Angelica (Ensemble) with the Opera Siena Music Festival in Siena, Italy; preview performances of Carmen (Micaela) with Seattle Opera Guild; and Adriana Lecouvreur (Jouvenot) with Puget Sound Concert Opera. Recent music theater roles include How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (Smitty) and Guys and Dolls (Sarah Brown) both with Twelfth Night Productions. She was also thrilled to be a part of John Ruoff and Benet Fleck's new musical Eve and Eddie (Eve) at Eclectic Theater. Recent appearances of selected opera scenes include La Bohème (Mimi) and The Magic Flute (Second Lady), both with Redwoods Opera Workshop. Ms. Peterson is a recipient of the Helen Jensen Memorial Award in Voice, frequent performing member of LMC of Seattle, and proud former Tour Actor with Missoula Children's Theater. Her next performance will be in the musical revue, "A...My Name is Alice" presented at Kenyon Hall in West Seattle, April 4-13, 2014.
