Nick Byer grew up in Nassau Bahamas. The tropical landscape and expressive culture ignited his spirited style. Byer cites the film “Basquiat” by fellow artist Julian Schnabel as the major influence in his art career. “I loved his approach to art, the boldness he never seemed to hold anything back it was in essence limitless.”
Byer got his big break in Miami Florida when the owner of Pronto Frame and Fine Art Inc exhibited his work for a group exhibition.
For the last 10 years he has exhibiting in Miami, Los Angles and New York. Known for his abstract animals he also focusing on pop culture. He has been on JCT television and his work is in numerous private and corporate collections around the world.
Byer’s pieces radiate with passion, spontaneity, beauty and capture the limitless energy of life. His influences are Basquiat, De Kooning Andy Warhol, Jackson Pollack, Vincent Van Gogh and Mr. Brainwash and Amos Ferguson.
