Anjulie Rao is a writer and editor living and working in Chicago, IL. With a background in contemporary art history and theory, she has transformed her knowledge of art and passion for people into a journalistic praxis: by utilizing elements of the personal essay, she crafts lyrical, hyper-relevant works of contemporary art criticism that allow the public to engage with art and contemporary culture in new ways.
She is a contributing writer to Fnewsmagazine and E+D Magazine, both based out of Chicago. She is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in New Arts Journalism from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and is working on her first book of essays regarding subculture contemporary art and the experiences of a 20-something.
