I am an Abstract/SuperRealist/ Photographic Artist/Gypsy Crystal Scryer.
The subjects I choose as my main focus are fractured antique lead crystals - hence the tag line "Fractured and Dangerous." The "dangerous" part refers not only to the physical liabilities associated with handling tiny, sharp slivers of crystal, but also to the "force" produced by the emanations and vibrations of the crystals apparently let loose when the crystals are violently shattered. Funny, by breaking things, I am made whole~!
Focusing concentrated light on the broken crystals creates an intensity of color refraction and reflection that is stunning in visual and psychic appearance. I often feel overwhelmed by the "emanations" of the crystals.
All of my work is derived from actual photographs of crystal, color and light. I never intend or plan a photograph so every image I capture is a surprise to me. My best friends are the photons and electrons that jump around and perform the magic tricks that I photograph. Thank you, photons and electrons and other sub-atomic particles yet to be discovered - I know you exist!
