I was born in Taiwan and studied at National Taiwan Normal University in Taipei. After twenty-five years in Taiwan, I moved to United States. My formal education includes MFA degree in Painting, MA degree in Computer Graphics, BFA degree in Chinese Art. My artistic search has focused on how to bridge East/West two cultures and bring them together. I have been privileged to be in both cultures and learn so much from them. I hope through my art I am able to give viewers the cross-cultural experience to bring the balance of our world view, and reducing the tension toward difference.
My paintings have been exhibited in 20 solos and many group exhibitions internationally, including those at Angel Orensanz Foundation, NYC, NY,;Michigan Women’s Historical Museum; Old Town Art Center Chicago; Saginaw Art Museum in Michigan; Odessa Art Museum, Ukraine; the Historical Museum of Infantry, Rome, Italy; UNESCO Art Gallery, Athens, Greece; Gallery Metanoia, Paris, France.
My recent Oriental Red series have been awarded a finalist/winner of EWNS Art Project for its international art competition, Unstrained Inspiration, in November of 2013. EWNS is a European organization, based in Paris to meet the developing needs of all artists, at all career stages.
