I enjoy painting a variety of things: figures, abstractions, buildings, still lifes, nature, essentially whatever comes to mind. I learn and see more this way and the process takes on a fluidity that keeps things from feeling stale or static. Some influences, reminders, nudges and the like: my studio, vegetation, the "b" side, movement, textures, weathered surfaces, negative space. I have studied painting with George Rocheleau, M. Ivan Cherry, and Florence Singer. Exhibits include Judy Saslow Gallery, Goodman Theatre (scenic elements), As You Like It Gallery, Café Selmarie, Trilogy Gallery, the Evanston Public Library, permanent collection, Harvey Antiques, an online gallery, and my Annual Front Yard Art Sale, an anticipated Evanston event. Thanks for looking.
